RE: Cabbage recipes???

Take a whole head of cabbage and cut the heart out----sprinkle in lots of your favorite spices--I like cajun spice and use lots of it then take a stick of margarine and shove it in the hole where the heart was and then sprinkle on more spice and then wrap well in tin foil.----cook on the grill or in oven at 400 degrees till feels squishy usually bout and hour or so--depends on how tight the cabbage is---put it in a cake pan if in oven in case tin foil leaks

RE: Avoid Front Royal, VA!

Alot of these new shopping centers the owner of the center makes the parking lots so thin that they do not want any more heavy traffic then necessary--the one in Altoona Pa did not want to let city buses drop people off at WM's door--they wanted to have passengers dropped off out by the hwy and it was a good 3 football fields walk--WM did some negotiating and got that changed. So yes it is up to the shopping center owner if you are allowed to park there

RE: pie irons questions

Aluminum will melt too easy, if you have kids that will be using them they will get melted since they wont watch them and will put them in the hottest coals--the set I had lasted one night and melted ---get the cast iron and find one that the 2 halves do not come apart, they are easiest to handle--it is hard to find a good quality mountain pie maker

RE: Holy crow,, Guy fistfights shark to save beloved dog!!

I think he was trolling and the dog was bait.:B----Sorry my dog would have been bait too, sharks, alligators and bears your on your own. Oh yeah and snakes too---I'm a 300 lb sissy when it comes to those critters and am proud of it, and I will be proud sissy long after that dude gets eaten by a shark. But give me a 44 mag. and that's a totally different story, now we even the field and that's a dead shark now, and if I can find any of his buddies they are dead too.--Till I run out of ammo.

RE: Car dollies

I thought that on all dollies the deck pivoted when turning--it helps the dolly track right behind the tow vehicle and not drag the tires

RE: Alligator eats Camper

RE: Car dollies

Dollys are not as big a hassle as some let on---dont matter what you hook up in the rain your gonna get wet---I always stored a 8x8 piece of heavy rubber mat or a piece of canvas so I could get down on my knees since I'm not as limber as I used to be---after a couple of times I could hook mine up probably just as quick as doing a 4 down, maybe faster if you include the time they have to get out their brake system and set it up too, they forget that is part of it too---dont get where folks make out it is so hard--they dont sway--they both tow exactly the same---you cant back up with either---the dolly my vehicle didnt chalk up any miles on the odometer--I didnt have to let the toad idle so the brakes work----but if you find one with brakes for $900 grab it right away--most are $1200 or better---the only problem I found was some of the small newer cars are too low and will rub loading--I had a Civic that was so I took and bought 2x12 treated board and cut a piece to fit on the deck where the tires go and another piece for under the ramps---when not in use I bunge corded it to the dolly--just be sure to get it centered and the buckles on the inside of the fenders---I towed my Civic all over the country with no problems at all---you can get a used dolly for the cost of just the brake system for 4 down--and then be able to use it for different cars ---not that big of a deal to store either--mine I just slide the tongue up under my coach and that way i just rolled it back and hooked it up ready to go---on 4 down if you do change vehicles then you got to buy new mounting plates and they aint cheap and then have them put on cause some vehicles it is a pita to get them on even it they do say they just bolt on---but hey that was my opinion and I loved mine--never had a desire to go out and get a 4-down since I could not see a great advantage

RE: TT with buckled floor, need advice

Ask to take it to a reputable dealer and have it checked--if it is just the vinyl stretching they will probably have not problem with that--if they balk then run

RE: How to handle non-RV family that want to borrow your MH?

Some insurances only cover you and your Mrs as drivers---or just tell them they have to get their RV license

RE: I'm not renewing my membership in FMCA, here's why!!

don't think she's ugly at all. You have to seek out the FMCA. Have you tried to join FMCA? Did you just assume she was UGLY and didn't give her a chance to blossom into all she could be in the FMCA? Rustedponey: are you the problem? First you do understand that was scarcasim, yeah I know it's spelled wrong, but I'm dead in the water without spellchecker---never saw much need for me to join them and this it the first I have heard this much about them and will probably be the last I hear this much discussion on them--and I looked again and yep she is still ugly that's how she got her name "The Big Ugly" but she was a great MOHO

RE: I'm not renewing my membership in FMCA, here's why!!

I was never invited to join the FMCA---was it cause my Bounder was so ugly?---I mean look at her she is down right ugly--but was like a sister you gotta love her----she would have loved to be a member and belong somewhere--she was so lonely--she just had no class-- http://i479.photobucket.com/albums/rr154/steelpony5555/100_3294.jpg?t=1222660227 width=640
